Stroll through the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial and see statues of this President with his dog and get the feeling of the man and his trials. He was elected to term 4 different times although he didn’t serve out the 4th term because of his death shortly after the election.

FDR served during the Great Depression and during WWII. He met with leaders from around the world to try to resolve the war but was not alive when the war finally came to an end.

He was the President during the CCC and WPA movements that built some of the most historic improvements to the United States including roads, state parks, buildings and more. It assisted in getting the United States through the Great Depression.
