Well, I’ve been working hard over the last couple days on getting the last remaining details together for the opening day of my new Wicca Supply shop in town. We have already had the website up and running for a little while now, and business is not bad considering what a brief period the site has been online.

For the real Wiccan store, I am going to be concentrating less on incense and candles and things like that than on lifestyle gear. The majority of what we’re anticipating to have in the store are things like Wiccan clothing, but we’ll also carry some Wicca witchcraft supplies. There’s a lot of it that targets the more established, older members of the Wiccan community on top of some really youthful and hip clothes that sell more to the young ones. There will also be jewelry with different different gemstones, each with nice gift cards explaining the meaning and function of the stone or stone combination in it. We most likely will not be carrying many books, because I feel like the profits are too low on them and that books don’t have as high a turnaround as I would need, but I can only expect that we’ll have a modest selection of some of our favorites.

I’m also thinking that we will likely carry just a couple of shelves worth of your basic witchcraft gear, as much for ambiance as anything else, and I’ll keep a good amount of nice witchy decorations around the shop and candles burning and all of this. I have an image of the shop in my head that I just hope I can pull off when bringing it all together since if I can it will be a really righteous spot to work at and make my living. I’m also anticipating having the opportunity to make friends with more folks in the nearby Wiccan community as well, as I haven’t yet been introduced to very many of them since we moved out to the city and I have so far found the folks that are a part of this community to be really great.
